BIG-O: A unique concept combining architecture and multimedia show design.
Modern materials such as concrete and steel are harmoniously combined and treated in a manner that gives an almost organic aspect to this structure intended to stand as a symbolic landmark after the Expo 2012, Yeosu, South Korea.

By night: The centrepiece of a unique show that embraces the Expo Yeosu 2012 ’s themes.

Our dedicated show controls system synchronizes hundred of special effects, creatinf an immersive show that plunges the audience into the heart of a sensory narrative.

ECA2 has created the world,s largest aquatic stage !

It was a new artistic technological challenge for ECA2’s team to directed a representation of the force of nature and the elements combined with the magic of images :

• • WATER : two water screens with a 50-metre base, hundreds of water jets and specially designed moving jets…
  •  AIR: 5 geysers…
  • FIRE: 14 large flames…
• • LIGHT: 600 underwater projectors, 60 automatic projectors…
  • IMAGES : 7 videos projectors, 5 laser projectors…

Our show control system synchronises hundreds of special effects, interacting with more than 50 actors, acrobats and dancers, surrounded by its mysterious and enchanting creatures to perform a touching interpretation of life in the mangrove.

ECA2 was chosen to create and produce a pyrotechnic, sound and light show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Togo’s independence and the country’s national day.Huge crowds of spectators gathered around the esplanade of Lomé’s Palais des Congrès to be part of this historic day and to see a unique show, which did not disappoint.

The show was orchestrated by a soundtrack incorporating a poem by Paul Ahyi beams of light reaching over 1000m high up into the sky around the venue… And, last but not least, a firework display designed for the occasion, which illuminated the whole esplanade for more than 10 minutes, and lit up the faces of the wide-eyed spectators…

• Unique in performing stage: Impressive design of the “Gate of the World”, 26 meters in height and 110 meters in length, a huge LED wall opened to Shenzhen.

• Unique in dresses: 152 dresses, 152 styles to demonstrate the creativity of the Shenzhen college students.

• Unique in torch tower: The torch tower is already a new landmark in the Shenzhen Bay

Devised and designed by ECA2, the “Magic Box” will
present visitors the opportunity to see the four-minute long
«Voyage of Energy» show. Some 5 million visitors are expected
at State Grid Pavilion.

Innovation illuminates dreams

The idea of the “Magic Box” is to offer visitors an unprecedented
immersive, audio-visual experience: to be absorbed
in a 720-degree multimedia universe. Centred on energy,
the show will express the dream of harmonious coexistence between mankind and nature, from the microscopic view to the macroscopic vision, from nature to civilisation…

This experience will take visitors on a journey to the heart
of State Grid’s activity of transforming natural energy into
an applicable energy, ensuring its distribution throughout China,
for everyone…

Opening in April 2010 for a daily audience of 2500, this new ECA2 show takes the audience on a poetic and spiritual journey through the Veda mythology, the oldest scriptures of Hinduism.
The story focuses on a passage featuring Nachiketa, son of Rishi Uddalak, who is about to be sacrificed to the gods by his father for Vishwajit Yagna, a religious offering symbolized by the Ceremony of Fire.
Nachiketa then meets the Lord of Death, Yamraaj, who grants him three wishes. Nachiketa’s last wish, the harder to obtain, is the secret of death and thus, immortality. A spiritual dialogue on life, death, gods and humanity ensues.

The “Ancient Secret” is an original multimedia show that features numerous effects; amongst which water effects that transform the set-up into an aquatic landscape.
In accordance with the storyline where poetic and peaceful and more dramatic scenes follow one another, ECA2 has designed a versatile set-up including light and laser, water, fire and pyrotechnic.
The spectacular nature of the show also owes a lot to a gigantic water screen, support of original video images.
